Major Areas of the Projects

The Panchayat has allocated funds for various development and welfare activities. The major areas include:

Agriculture and Allied Sectors: Coconut Development Programme, Banana Cultivation Development, and distribution of pepper seedlings.
Animal Husbandry: Distribution of buffalo calves, purchase of medicines for the Veterinary Polyclinic, distribution of cattle feed for milch cows, and vaccination programmes for stray dogs.
Healthcare and Sanitation: Lifestyle disease screening, medical assistance for senior citizens, renovation of Homeopathic and Ayurvedic dispensaries and supply of medicines, and financial assistance for dialysis treatment for kidney patients.
Waste Management: Solid and liquid waste management projects, distribution of G-Bins, financial assistance for the Haritha Karma Sena, and construction of Mini Material Collection Facilities (MCFs).
Infrastructure Development: Concreting of roads in various wards, construction of culverts, installation and maintenance of street lights in public places, and drinking water projects.
Education and Social Welfare: Construction of school buildings and toilets, renovation of Anganwadis and purchase of furniture, scholarships for children with disabilities, and Kudumbashree and women’s welfare activities.
LIFE Mission (Housing): Funds have been allocated under the LIFE Mission for the purchase of land and construction of houses for beneficiaries belonging to the General, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
