Ward Delimitation
As part of the 2015 Local Self-Government Institution Elections, Puthuppally Grama Panchayat was reorganised into 18 wards through the ward delimitation process. Thereafter, the Panchayat administration and local body elections were conducted based on this 18-ward structure.
During 2024–25, the Kerala Delimitation Commission carried out a fresh ward delimitation exercise, taking into account changes in population and the prescribed delimitation criteria. As a result, the number of wards in Puthuppally Grama Panchayat was increased from 18 to 19, and new ward boundaries were notified.
The final notification of the revised ward delimitation was published on 15 May 2025.
